Little Stir Fry: Spicy Squid [香煸鱿鱼]
My favorite seafood is squid & octopus. Here is a quick stir fry that captures my love for this “fish”.
Ingredients
Baby squid tentacles, 24 oz.
Large red onion, 1/4, sliced
Chili peppers, 3, finely chopped
Ginger, 2 slices, cut into thin strips
Medium carrot, 1/2, sliced
Celery, 1 stick, chopped
Olive oil, 2 tbsps.
Soy sauce, 2-3 tbsps. (to taste)
Cooking wine, 2 tbsps.
Steps
1. 2 hours before cooking, pat squid dry using paper towel and leave in a sieve to continue drying.
2. Prepare ingredients.
3. Heat oil in a pan until sizzling. Sauté peppers, onions, and ginger until aromatic, for about 3-5 minutes.
4. Then, add in octopus and stir for another 3 minutes.
5. Add soy sauce and cooking wine. Add celery and carrot. Cover and cook for 7 minutes. Serve.
